For the Santa Cecilia festival, the male even-voice choir from Moena performs a touching concert of classic mountain and popular songs, some also in Ladin language
Founded in 1981 and directed by Barbara Pedrotti, the "Enrosadira" Choir owes its name to a phenomenon typical of Alpine areas: the alpenglow ("Enrosadira"), when at dawn and dusk the rocks, struck by the sun's rays, are tinged with a thousand shades of red and pink, offering a spectacle that never fails to thrill. The male choir from Moena boasts memorable international tours memorable international tours, performing in Chicago, Toronto, New York, the state of Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro. Trips to Sicily and Spain have also been important moments of cultural exchange, particularly with the ethnic minorities of the Arbëreshë (Albanians in Sicily) and Catalonia. In 2006, the choir was hosted by the then President of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, a recognition that marked a prestigious milestone in its history. These collaborations contributed to the creation of the album "...color d'Enrosadira", which brings together traditional Trentino songs, mountain songs and folk songs in Ladin, Friulian and even African languages, all harmonised for male choir.
The "Trentino Lagolo" Choir from Calavino in the Valle dei Laghi in south-eastern Trentino, will also take part in the evening. The choir, composed of male voices and conducted by Isabella Pisoni, has around thirty members and boasts a popular repertoire performed in almost eight hundred concerts in Trentino-Alto Adige, other Italian regions and even beyond the border.
