Parade and concert by the brass band "Mùsega de Poza" to celebrate the patron saint of Pera
Every summer, on the night of 10 August, the sky and hearts of Pera light up. It is the St Lawrence Feast, one of the most heartfelt celebrations in the community, celebrated on the day dedicated to the Christian martyr and in the magical setting of the night of shooting stars. The festivities begin at 9.15 p.m. with the "Musega de Poza" parade: the procession starts from the Hotel Europa and crosses the village to the parish church, where the final concert will be held. Then, the party continues with live music, dancing under the stars and entertainment for all ages. An evening to be enjoyed with your nose in the air, surrounded by music, memories and wishes.
"Musega de Poza". It was 1933 when eight young people from Pozza, driven by their passion for music, founded a band, breaking away from the one in Vigo. Over time, the band grew, including the admission of the first women in the 1970s, and developed thanks to the commitment of Paolo Cincelli. Today, the municipal band, led by Maestro Giancarlo Dorich, parades with almost seventy members in uniform, bringing the sound of Ladin identity and the echo of a tradition that unites generations to the streets of the village, the peaks of the Vaiolet Towers, the nearby valleys, the region and abroad.
In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the events pavilion in Pozza.
