A day of traditions with a typical lunch and musical accompaniment, at the foot of Sella and Pordoi
Their hat is an icon of values and solidarity; in Fassa it also recalls important pieces of history linked, in particular, to the Great War, which in this territory has left signs that are still visible, recounted in the museums and exhibitions in the valley. But the Alpini have always inspired sympathy and cordiality, the same that will be found on Sunday at "Pian de Frataces de Sora", in the picnic area at the twelfth hairpin bend of the Pordoi road (going up on the left). The feast, organised by the Alta Val di Fassa "ANA" group, which has around 140 members, includes lunch based on typical specialities, such as the hunter's dish, i.e. polenta, grilled sausage or chops, local cheese, beans and cabbage salad. Plus sandwiches, desserts and drinks. All accompanied by a live performance by a valley folk group until 6 p.m.
In case of bad weather, the festival is cancelled.
