Two days in Val San Nicolò to celebrate Ladin culture and traditions with excellent gastronomy, touring concerts, folk dancing, theatrical performances and children's games
On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of August, Val San Nicolò, one of the most beautiful valleys in Fassa, will once again host the "Festa ta Mont", a two-day event dedicated to the most authentic traditions, made up of customs, stories and legends. Here, amidst the old huts, once used as seasonal dwellings and as barns during the alpine pasture period, you can get to know a cross-section of Ladin culture and taste delicious local cuisine while listening to cheerful folk music.
The "Festa ta Mont" is a demonstration of the liveliness of the local social fabric, thanks to over two hundred volunteers who, with their availability and cooperation, contribute to the success of the event in an atmosphere of friendship and joy.
You can reach Val San Nicolò on foot or by shuttle bus (route "Vidor" > "Saùch"; runs from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.; 3 € single ticket; 5 € return ticket; Val di Fassa Guest Card not valid). On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a free excursion with mountain guide, meeting point at 9.00 a.m. at the "Buffaure" cabin lift valley station. Reservation compulsory by phone at +39 331 2989721, at the Sport Check Point in Pozza or at the tourist office.
