Performance by the choir of Tesero, founded in 1950 by nine friends who were passionate about mountain folk singing. One of the longest-running choirs in Trentino, it is now a benchmark for choral tradition in the Val di Fiemme
Over the years, the Genzianella male choir of Tesero has participated in numerous concerts, festivals and competitions in Italy and abroad, taking its voice beyond regional borders. Its repertoire, strongly linked to collective memory, is inspired by the themes of the Great War and emigration in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys. Among its most significant performances are those in the Nervi Hall of the Vatican and in St. Peter's Square in Rome in 2007 and 2008, on the occasion of the exhibition of nativity scenes from Tesero. The choir's passion for Christmas carols has also taken it to Nuremberg, to the famous Christmas markets, to bring the atmosphere of Trentino to the heart of Europe. Composed of about thirty members and conducted by Maestro Diego Cavada, the choir enthusiastically pursues its activities, convinced of the cultural importance of choral tradition and the social value that comes from getting together, sharing and singing... in friendship.
