Amidst meadows, pastures and sweeping views of the Catinaccio, a gentle walk will take young and old alike on a journey of discovery into life on the mountain pastures
From Ciampedie, you walk towards Gardeccia accompanied by a mountain guide, along an easy path that, step by step, invites you to observe, listen and discover nature. The destination is a mountain farm, where time still seems to follow the simple rhythms of the mountains and the animals. Here, the experience takes young and old alike back to a life of practical activities: getting up close to cows, calves and other animals, observing daily routines and understanding what it means to live and work at high altitude during the summer. Through stories, interesting facts and small traditional gestures, participants will gain a better understanding of the world of mountain pastures and the deep connection between nature, livestock farming and the local area. At the end of the visit, return to Ciampedie along the same route.
Meeting point: every Friday at 10 am at the top station of the cable car. Duration: approx. 3 hours. Difficulty: easy. Children aged 6 and over.
Price: free activity organised by "Impianti a Fune Catinaccio" lift company, included in the Panorama Pass, the Dolomiti Supersummer pass or with a valid lift ticket. Online booking required. Maximum 35 participants. This activity is held in Italian only.
