Gastronomic route with tasting of typical dishes and musical entertainment in the characteristic centre of the hamlet of Penìa
A tiny village with an enchanting atmosphere, a cosy square nestled amongst ancient stone houses, vaulted cellars and wooden barns, with a fountain of crystal-clear alpine water at its centre. From 8.00 pm, Penìa comes to life with "Tel Cher de Penìa", an evening during which the highest part of the village, perched on the grassy slope overlooking the valley, tells its story through its flavours, its stones and its people, preserving a history that has continued for generations.
In the heart of the last village in the Val di Fassa before the Fedaia Pass, in the shadow of the Gran Vernel, you can still breathe in the rural spirit of the mountains. During the event, it will be a pleasure to stroll through the cobbled alleyways and the picturesque little square, guided by tastings of local specialities, artisans at work and folk music. Between one stop and the next, it is also worth pausing in front of the Church of Saints Sebastian and Rocco, a focal point for the community. It is precisely through these ancient traditions that the link with Ladin culture continues to thrive, preserved to this day by the "Grop de la Mèscres de Delba e Penìa", which proudly passes on the ancient rituals of the Fassa Carnival.
Tickets can be purchased for € 20 at the cash desks, open from 7.30 pm. In case of bad weather the event will be held on the following day.
