For the summer cycle of Music and traditions, a local band or by another one coming from the nearest valleys will entertain the public with their repertoire. Enliven by the volunteering spirit that is characteristic of the Trentino South Tyrol, the brass band is an occasion to socialize between people of different ages, where everybody puts his own passion at the service of the community, transmitting the habits, the costumes and the history of the society. The evening, starting at 9 pm, includes a parade of the music band of Badia along the main street of Vigo (Strada Rezia) and concert in the square in front of the tourist office.
For almost two centuries, it has been an integral part of life in the community of Badia, preserving a musical tradition that continues to evolve. The "Müjiga de Badia" brings to its concerts all the richness of an ensemble capable of uniting past and present. Conducted by Maestro Matthias Thaler, the band brings together over eighty musicians, from the youngest to the most experienced, creating an ensemble in which four generations share the same passion. Its repertoire combines marches, polkas and waltzes with more modern pieces, featuring arrangements ranging from Ennio Morricone to Michael Jackson and even Mozart, appealing to audiences of all ages. For 190 years, the "Müjiga de Badia" has been part of the most significant moments in the village's life. It is no coincidence that, in 2008, it was the band itself that welcomed Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Oies: a sign of the deep bond that unites it with its community.
In case of rain, the parade will be cancelled and only the concert will take place at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
