Free guided excursion for families and children at Ciampac
Get ready for a high-altitude adventure along the Marmot Trail at Ciampac, an easy 2 km route suitable for adults and children. Accompanied by an expert guide, we will discover the fascinating world of these cute mountain dwellers. As we cross the alpine meadows, we will learn to recognise the marmots' burrows, connected by an intricate system of underground tunnels. With a little luck, we will see them peeking out of the bushes, alerting each other with their high-pitched whistles or running clumsily among the rocks. An authentic, fun and educational experience, perfect for introducing children to nature up close.
Excursion dedicated to families and children over the age of 3, organised by the hiking guides. Difficulty easy, no pushchair, yes backpack for children. It is advisable not to bring dogs to avoid frightening the marmots.
Schedule and meeting point: every Monday and Friday at 9 a.m. by the mountain station of Ciampac gondola in Alba di Canazei. Duration: about 3 hours.
Price: limited enrolment free activity, organised by "Ciampac e Contrin" lift society, included in the Panorama Pass or in the lift ticket. Compulsory registration online, at the Sport Check Points in the valley within 6 p.m. of the previous day. Lift ticket and possible lunch at the hut borne by the participants. Activity cancelled in case of bad weather.
