Team orienteering competition for children at Ciampedie, in search of the "Vivane" nymph lanterns
In Ladin legends, the "Vivane" are fascinating and mysterious creatures, half woman and half spirit. They inhabit the woods of Val di Fassa and live near water springs, taking refuge in caves. It is said that they rarely appear, but that their lanterns shine in the dark, guiding - or confusing - those who dare to seek them. Today you will experience an adventure in true Indiana Jones style! An exciting team challenge awaits you: team will be assigned a colour and a mission to complete. With a compass in hand and your destination marked in degrees, you will have to search for clues hidden in the woods. Only the team that finds all the "Vivane" lanterns and reveal their secrets will be able to claim victory... and perhaps receive a prize worthy of true explorers. Good luck... and keep your eyes peeled in the woods!
Meeting point: every Wednesday at 9.15 a.m. by the top station of the Catinaccio cable car in Vigo.
Price: free activity organised by "Impianti a Fune Catinaccio" lift company, included in the Panorama Pass, the Dolomiti Supersummer pass or with a valid lift ticket. Registration not required. Clothes and shoes suitable for mountain excursions are required. In case of bad weather, the activity will be cancelled.
