The 30th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz arrives in Canazei with the powerful voice of Patrizia Laquidara on International Women's Day
From 6 to 15 March, the jazz trail winds its way through the Fassa and Fiemme valleys with concerts on the terraces of mountain huts, in clubs, theatres and village squares. From Canazei to Cavalese, and as far as Cembra, Dolomiti Ski Jazz returns this year with 27 concerts. Warm rhythms such as jazz, blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites.
International artists will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will head up into the mountains to perform on the terraces of mountain huts, some of which are also accessible to non-skiers. Day by day, the festival moves from one slope to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz for International Women's Day: Patrizia Laquidara, Cinema Teatro Marmolada (Canazei). Sunday 8 March at 9 p.m.
Patrizia Laquidara is one of the most elusive, multifaceted and brilliant voices in contemporary Italian singer-songwriter music. Described by critics as "a signature so personal as to be unique" and "one of the most intense and lyrical voices in our so-called light music", she brings her unmistakable artistic sensibility to the stage.
Band: Patrizia Laquidara (vocals), Daniele Santimone (guitars), Stefano Dallaporta (electric bass), Edoardo Piccolo (programming and keyboards).
The concert is free of charge. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with an aperitif and live music by Duotreminuti, featuring the voice of Melanie Locatin accompanied on guitar by Gianpaolo Chiocchetti.
