A show featuring Ladin dances and traditions, performed by the folk group from Rocca Pietore, a village at the foot of the Marmolada
Founded in 1993 out of a group of friends' passion for dance and the traditions of their homeland, the "Grop da Bal Marmolèda" from Rocca Pietore presents a show that brings Ladin culture to life through music, dance and memory.
Accompanied by the sound of accordions and double bass, the dancers perform waltzes, polkas and pairisc, ancient folk dances rich in figures and choreography handed down through the ages. Alongside the couple dances, there are performances evoking trades, customs and moments from everyday life in the past, offering an authentic glimpse into the history and traditions of mountain life.
Particularly significant is the involvement of the younger generation, who perform alongside the more experienced dancers, helping to keep alive a cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation. Amidst swirling skirts, shoes marking the beat and folk melodies, the show invites the audience to discover a world of simplicity, conviviality and a deep connection to the local area.
At 9.15 pm the events pavilion in Pozza; admission is free.
