A thick programme of skiing, activities on the snow and fun compose the 30th edition of the festival which in March celebrates telemark skiing in Val di Fassa
Scufoneda, with its unmistakable "Scufoneda People" spirit, is Val di Fassa's celebration of telemark and freeride skiing.
Quick facts
- Dates: Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 March 2027
- Focus: telemark and freeride skiing
- Base camp: Moena, San Pellegrino and Alpe Lusia
These are the essentials. But to truly understand Scufoneda, you need to know the "Scufons". The "Scufons del Cogo" from Moena are the association led by Felice Canclini - The President - that has brought together free-heel enthusiasts from Italy and abroad over the years. Over the weekend, around 400 people join in: telemark skiers, freeriders and anyone who shares a certain way of experiencing the mountains - snow, nature, friendship and a strong desire to ski beyond the usual boundaries.
The programme includes:
- ski experiences for experts
- freeride tours with mountain guides
- vintage skiing: the "Scufons" are famous for their early 20th-century Ladin clothing, paired with original wooden skis and poles
- lessons for expert telemark skiers with FISI Co.Scu.Ma. national instructors
- equipment testing with leading brands at the "Scufons" Village on Passo San Pellegrino
- free beginner lessons for all ages, run by the Dolomiti Moena Ski School
- free guided snowshoe walks for those who prefer exploring the snow on foot
And then there's everything that's harder to fit into a technical programme. Every day ends - or starts all over again - with a party and something good to eat. Because people come to Scufoneda to ski, learn, test equipment and seek out fresh snow, of course, but also to get together.
The programme is ready, and so is the spirit: telemark, freeride, nature, friendship and mountain culture. Follow them, Brothers and Sisters, and get ready to ski beyond the usual boundaries.
