For the Val di Fassa Panorama Music festival, a mix of folklore, jazz, Balkan, African and Alpine elements in exuberant improvisations
The Sweet Alps Orchestra, founded in 2005 by Michael Lösch for the "Jazz & Altro" festival in Bolzano, is an ensemble of artists from South Tyrol and Austria: the current line-up features Martin Ohrwalder and Paolo Trettel on trumpet, Klaus Dickbauer, Achille Succi, Christian Maurer and Helga Plankensteiner on saxophones, Federico Pierantoni and Peter Cazzanelli on trombone, Glauco Benedetti on tuba, Matteo Giordani and Marco Soldà on drums, with Michael Lösch on organ and composition. Over the years, the orchestra has created numerous original projects commissioned by important festivals, including Voyage, Heroes, Sweet Alps Mundial and Heroes: when the soldiers march.
Val di Fassa Panorama Music is organised by the cultural association "La Grenz", under the artistic direction of Enrico Tommasini, in collaboration with the valley's cableway companies and with the support of the Val di Fassa Tourist Board.
