"Fortaes" in the square in Moena to celebrate carnival in sweetness
In Val di Fassa there are some sweets that are baked especially for carnival or at festivals and folk festivals. These include the "fortaes", a delicious fried pastry with a characteristic snail shape enriched with cranberry jam.
On Saturday, 18 February from 2.00 to 6.00 p.m., in the "Perle Alpine" square, you will have the chance to taste one of the valley's most typical desserts, prepared by the women of the "Grop de Turchia". Not to be missed is the presence of the "Gruppo degli Alpini", who will warm up the afternoon with a fragrant mulled wine, classic or apple.
You can also come to the square in costume to prepare for the big parade on Shrove Tuesday, the last day of Carnival.
