Among the most royal birds of prey, falcons are the protagonists of a fascinating and ancient show, made even more impressive by the panorama that can be admired from the Ciampedie
Once used in the art of hunting, falconry is now a demonstration of ancient falcon training. Its history dates back to ancient times. In fact, the first evidence of falconry hunting takes us to Mesopotamia and China. It was most widespread during the Middle Ages and was also practised by certain kings, such as Charlemagne and Henry I of Germany. At the court of Frederick II, in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, falconry became a real science.
