Accompanying the first skiers of the season on the lifts and slopes of Buffaure and Ciampac is a boisterous group of Krampus, destined to cause chaos and curiosity
The winter season in Val di Fassa opens with thrills of snow and tradition. As every year, the start of the ski lifts coincides with the arrival of St. Nicholas in the villages of the valley, one of the saints most loved by children. But he does not arrive alone: at his side are two angels and, a little further behind, the fearsome Krampus, devils ready to punish those who have not been too good during the year.
On Saturday 6 December, in the Buffaure and Ciampac ski areas, a noisy group of Krampus will burst in between one turn and another, determined to wreak havoc at high altitude. The Krampus da Poza, with their demonic masks and heavy footsteps in the snow, will enliven the day with sudden raids, chases and spectacular photos to share, while the echo of cowbells mixes with the rustle of skis.
The infernal creatures will stop off at the most iconic slopes: from Vulcano del Buffaure to the very long Ciampac, and on to the red Col de Valvacin. And for those who are not afraid of challenges, there is the Sasso di Rocca time trial: a duel against time to add a touch of competition to a Saturday already full of excitement.
