The third stage of Val di Fassa Running takes runners into Val Duron along forest roads on the slopes of Mount Ponjin, passing through the picturesque hamlet of Pian
Val di Fassa Running returns to the 2026 sporting calendar with its well-established stage race format, organised by Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi: five stages, each between 6 and 12 km long, a different location every day, for a total of around 45 km of fast sections, runnable descents and climbs that test both legs and determination. From 21 to 26 June, runners take on spectacular courses that cross some of the most iconic landscapes of the valley.
The third stage, following Vigo, can also shape the overall standings for both men and women. It's no coincidence that this is the longest stage of the entire Val di Fassa Running. The start is set in the main square of Campitello. The course covers 12.3 km with 628 metres of elevation gain and the same amount of descent. The route climbs the slopes of Mount Ponjin, crosses the wide meadow of Pra Molin, then drops into Val Duron before returning through the village of Pian. Walkers also have a dedicated route between Campitello and Canazei: a 4.2 km course with 125 metres of elevation gain, more accessible but still fully immersed in the Dolomites scenery.
If you can't join the entire week of racing, you can choose your own challenge and take part in a single stage, registering directly at the start.
