The winter season in the Val di Fassa/Carezza ski area officially kicks off with the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup on the famous "Pra di Tori" slope at Costalunga Pass
Ready to battle it out on the slopes - with speed, split-second timing and the unmistakable energy of great snow sport days. On Thursday, 18 December, the Snowboard World Cup returns to Costalunga Pass, on the Pra di Tori slope, with two adrenaline-packed parallel giant slalom races for men and women. After China and Cortina, the stars of international snowboarding head to the Val di Fassa/Carezza ski area, in the heart of the Dolomites, for the third stage of the season - a key milestone on the road to the Winter Olympics in February.
Pra di Tori, known for its flawless preparation, well-oiled organisation and spectacular backdrop between Catinaccio and Latemar, is ready to deliver another top-class show. Among the competitors is Italy’s Mirko Felicetti, from Moena, a regular presence on the World Cup circuit.
In the 2024 edition, victory went to Jasmin Coratti - celebrating her first ever World Cup win - and Bulgaria’s Radoslav Yankov.
This year's event will also mark the 15th anniversary of the Carezza World Cup stage, with an official celebration honouring the long-standing volunteers who have supported the organising committee, led by Andreas Obkircher, over the years. And as tradition demands: a festive atmosphere for everyone - all in true green spirit.
