Pilates is a physical activity that keeps muscles and joints supple even when, with advancing age, they tend to move with greater difficulty and become less flexible.
“Dolomiti d’Autunno” (Autumn in the Dolomites) is a project created by the Val di Fassa Tourist Board that accompanies the season of intense colours until early November. From 13 October to 9 November, every day offers activities dedicated to the well-being of body and mind: yoga, Pilates, face yoga, meditation, sound baths, mindfulness, cocoa ceremonies, forest bathing and much more. A journey that combines conscious movement, nature and ancient rituals, to experience autumn in the Dolomites in bwith oneself and the surrounding environment.
You can participate in some Pilates lessons in the water. In the name of a holistic approach to movement, the mental control advocated by Joseph Pilates (the founder of the discipline) during the execution of movements has positive effects on general well-being, induces relaxation and improves body awareness. The class, led by Elisa Penna, combines Pilates movements with the support and pleasure of water, which aids movement and increases the feeling of well-being at the end of the exercises.
