The new episode of "I Viaggi del Cuore", airing on Canale 5 on Sunday, June 29th at 8.50 am, takes viewers to one of the most evocative places in the Dolomites: Val di Fassa, in eastern Trentino. A valley that surprises with the majesty of its landscapes, but even more with the cultural and spiritual heritage it holds. Thanks to the collaboration with Val di Fassa Tourist Board, the program guides the audience on a journey through historic villages, paths through woods and pastures, ancient places of worship and moments of community life deeply rooted in Ladin culture. The episode begins from the breathtaking terrace of Sass Pordoi (2950 m), which can be reached in just a few minutes via the modern cable car departing from Passo Pordoi. From there, the gaze sweeps across famous Dolomite peaks such as Marmolada, Sella, and Catinaccio. But the journey does not stop at natural beauty: it is also a journey of encounter with popular spirituality, such as that found in the church of Santa Giuliana in Vigo or along the paths that connect ancient parish churches and places of prayer.
There is also room for cultural traditions, with a visit to the “Museo Ladin de Fascia”, guardian of the memory and identity of people who have preserved their language, customs and rituals over the centuries. And there's a festive moment too with the "Gran Festa da d'Istà," a celebration involving all the Ladin communities of the Sella group. The journey continues with immersive experiences such as forest bathing, a meditative walk in the woods, the discovery of local artist Matthias Sieff and an encounter with the flavors of the area, including the famous Puzzone di Moena cheese, the star of an annual event that brings the streets of the village from which it takes its name to life. An intense episode that invites you to stop, observe and listen. Because in Val di Fassa, mountains are not just a landscape: they are living presences that speak to the hearts of those who know how to listen.
"I Viaggi del Cuore" airs on Canale 5 and simultaneously on the international channel Mediaset Italia. As always, the broadcast will also host some of the most significant authors on the Italian publishing scene, in collaboration with Edizioni San Paolo. Each journey will be supported by Famiglia Cristiana, which will provide in-depth analysis of current affairs and a space for the latest publications. Missioni Don Bosco will also be present, sharing its work in Argentina and helping us to gain a glimpse of the world. "I Viaggi del Cuore" recently received two important awards. On June 21st, 2024, the programme was honored with the Moige Award, presented in Rome in the Chamber of Deputies. Subsequently, on March 15th, 2025, it was awarded the “Buone Notizie – Special Jubilee Edition” journalism prize.
