The first edition of the Santa Cruz Owners Day in Val di Fassa came to a close to great satisfaction. The event, dedicated to owners of Santa Cruz bikes and members of the Owners Club, chose the valley and the trails of the Val di Fassa Bike District as the setting for a two-day celebration of riding, sharing and exploring the local area.
Around 150 participants – including enthusiasts, retailers from across Italy, and Santa Cruz brand ambassadors – cycled along the trails of the Trail Area accompanied by the Fassa Bike Guides, alternating bike rides with opportunities to meet and learn more about the sector’s products and technologies. Over the weekend, they also had the chance to head up to higher altitudes on Campitello’s new 3S cable car and to use the Fassa and Fiemme cycle and footpath, recently extended with a new section between Fontanazzo and Penia di Canazei.
Alongside Santa Cruz, some of the leading companies in the cycling industry were present, including Shimano, SRAM, RockShox and Bosch eBike Systems, offering stands, technical support and opportunities for direct discussion with participants.
The event also actively involved the local network of professionals and services centred around the cycling sector: the cable car operator SITC, the Fassa Bike Guides, the Fassasport offices, and the cycling product representatives from APT Val di Fassa, alongside hospitality and catering providers who contributed to the warm welcome and convivial atmosphere throughout the weekend.
The Santa Cruz Owners Day marked the first initiative under the new partnership between APT Val di Fassa and PON.Bike Italia, established with the aim of developing joint initiatives capable of promoting cycling culture, the quality of the experience and services, and the discovery of the region through its diverse riding opportunities.
A well-attended, enjoyable and high-quality event that successfully combined excellent cycling, hospitality and connections between enthusiasts, companies and local operators: important foundations for strengthening the Santa Cruz community and, at the same time, promoting Val di Fassa as a cycling destination.
