A season that starts earlier
In Val di Fassa, the bike season already gets underway in the second half of April, when the roads of the Dolomite passes are complemented by the Fassa and Fiemme Cycle Path (a shared pedestrian and cycling route), offering ideal conditions to experience the mountains by bike in a setting of tranquility and scenic beauty. The opening of the lift facilities—scheduled to begin on May 30 and continue through June 20, when the vast majority of gondolas, cable cars, and chairlifts will be in operation—marks the start of the summer season dedicated to mountain biking and gravity, further expanding opportunities to explore the area.
An offering for every way of experiencing cycling
Val di Fassa offers a comprehensive cycling experience that embraces all disciplines: road cycling along the iconic Dolomite passes, the valley cycle path ideal for families and leisure cyclists, routes along forest roads and at altitude, and trails that represent one of the most distinctive elements of the valley’s offering.
Within this integrated vision, the Val di Fassa Bike District serves as the overarching framework for the valley’s bike offering, enhancing its different facets and catering to diverse audiences in a coordinated way.
Among the most appreciated services are the Dolomiti SuperSummer Bike Pass, which provides access to an extensive network of lifts and routes—including the iconic Sellaronda circuit—and membership in the Gravity Card, which brings together 32 of Europe’s top gravity destinations, further strengthening the valley’s international positioning.
Infrastructure and accessibility
The continuous improvement of infrastructure is a key element in the development of the bike offering. The Fiemme and Fassa Dolomites Cycle Path, approximately 48 kilometers long and supported by numerous cyclist-oriented services, allows riders to cross two valleys through alpine landscapes, historic centers, and equipped areas.
With the summer opening of the Campitello 3S gondola (June 13), a modern facility inaugurated in December 2025, access to Col Rodella and to the valley’s iconic trails—including the renowned Tutti Frutti—is made easier, further enhancing the experience for mountain bike enthusiasts.

A bike offering that engages the entire territory
The variety of cycling experiences allows Val di Fassa to appeal to diverse audiences and generate widespread opportunities for the entire hospitality system. Alongside events, services, and infrastructure, the role of strategic partnerships with the bike industry is also growing—such as the collaboration launched in 2026 with the PON Bikes Group, an international player that approaches cycling from a broad and cross-sector perspective, spanning performance, mobility, tourism, and innovation.
The Val di Fassa Tourist Board coordinates this development through an overall vision of the bike product, enhancing collaboration with partners and local operators.
“The strength of Val di Fassa,” says Nicolò Weiss, Director of the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, “lies in the opportunity to experience cycling in different ways throughout the entire season: from the Dolomite passes to the valley cycle path, up to high-altitude routes and trails. The Val di Fassa Bike District was created precisely with this purpose: to shape a unified framework capable of enhancing all facets of cycling in a coordinated way and speaking to different audiences. This diversity generates tangible opportunities for the area and contributes to extending and enhancing the bike season in the valley”.
With the 2026 bike season, Val di Fassa confirms its identity as an Alpine destination capable of combining sport, accessibility, and quality of experience, offering enthusiasts from all over the world a rich calendar of events and a territory ready to welcome them throughout the entire season.
