The route is challenging in the initial and final sections, both due to the steepness and the surface. The route leads to Rifugio Contrin, at the foot of the south side of the Marmolada. The path is very frequented by pedestrians. Attention: the section between Alba and Mèlga Cianci is served, in July and August, by a taxi service (jeep). Animals freely grazing.
