A walk to be enjoyed slowly in all seasons, even in snow, through conifer woods and panels that tell the origins and myth of the most secret Dolomites. The ascent and descent from Pian Pecei to Ciampedie are possible ONLY by chairlift. From the Gardeccia Refuge, with the alpine guide you can take summer path no. 546 towards the Vajolet and Preuss Refuges (closed in winter), or continue to the Passo Principe Refuge (closed) via trail no. 584. At Pian Pecei there is a Girsberger Artva checkpoint to allow ski mountaineers or snowshoers equipped with self-rescue equipment to check the status of their device. The checkpoint also records passages, so it is known exactly how many people transit on the trail and how many have the Artva device.
