Giro d'Italia Climbs - Passo Sella

The ascent to Passo Sella is one of the most coveted goals for cyclists around the world. There are a total of 23 hairpin bends to face up to the Dolomite pass, which is reached in 12 km and 800 m of elevation gain (average gradient 6.9% with peaks up to 13%).

Return on the same route or possibility to continue towards Val Gardena, following the Sellaronda Bike Day or Marathona dles Dolomites routes.

Author's advice:

From late April to late June and from September to late October. In July and August, traffic is particularly heavy on the Dolomite passes (cars, motorcycles, buses).

First refreshment points in Val di Fassa at Pian de Frataces, Pian de Schiavaneis and Passo Sella.
