There is nothing better than an immersion in nature to recharge body and mind, letting yourself be enveloped by the regenerating power of water, bark, scents, and sounds of the forest. After passing Rifugio La Rezila and resuming trail no. 625 towards Colvere, a suggestive forest bathing (bath in the forest) route with stages begins, to experience nature with all senses. First step: Tree hugging or sylvotherapy, the ancient Celtic practice of embracing trees to absorb their beneficial virtues, a true touch of green wellness against daily stress. In particular, fir trees promote fracture healing and help reduce swelling. Second step: Barefooting, walking barefoot on grass, leaves, moss, bark, and stones. Besides improving mood and sleep quality, this exercise stimulates posture, metabolism, and balance. Third step: Kneipp therapy, immersing feet in a stream to benefit from the regenerating power of fresh and pure high mountain water. Continuing along the path, just before reaching the municipal hut in Colvere, you can observe the positions of the Austrian machine gun nests from the First World War, built in reinforced concrete. A trench path leads into the woods and, downhill, to the observatory, a network of galleries carved into the rock, equipped with windows and loopholes to control Passo San Pellegrino, where the Italian front began. It is recommended to bring a flashlight to visit the galleries and to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. During summer, guided excursions are available.
