The suggestive high-altitude crossing, which runs along the long and panoramic ridge between Col de Valvacin and Sela Brunéch, allows you to contemplate all the peaks of Val di Fassa from an unusual perspective. Alternatively, from Sela Brunéch, above the chairlift (here the trail becomes no. 613/B) climb towards the narrow ridge that closes the Ciampac basin to the south and opens, on the right, with a spectacular view over Val San Nicolò. After crossing the ridge completely, you reach the steep outcrops of Sas de Roces, forcing you to move to the Val San Nicolò slope. Descend several switchbacks to then cross a long high-altitude diagonal, equipped in some steep sections with a metal rope, until reaching the wide grassy saddle above Sas Bianch. Climb trail no. 613 which, with a steep diagonal, crosses the western slope of Varosc, where remains of fortifications dating back to World War I are still present. Descend the eastern slope in sight of the Passo San Nicolò Refuge which is reached in a few minutes (4.00 hours). You return descending into Val San Nicolò via trail no. 608, with wide views of the geological stratifications of the Rois del Giaf stream, until Baita Ciampié and Pozza by the paved road. Only the section from Col de Valvacin to Sela Brunéch is suitable for families with children (from 8 years old). Return along the same route or with the lifts (chairlift + cable car) to Alba di Canazei.
