From the Sasso Piatto mountain hut to Canazei. The autumn edition of the Dolomiti Trek King: three days of hiking from mountain hut to mountain hut, surrounded by golden landscapes and sweeping views. The third and final stage leads from the Sasso Piatto mountain hut to Canazei, beneath the Sassolungo massif, through the City of Stones, Val Salei and Val Mortic, known for its basalt waterfalls. The itinerary consists of 3 stages along well-marked CAI-SAT trails. From any point along the route, you can return to the valley using the lifts, shuttle services or local public transport.
Author's advice: A 3-day organised trek, from mountain hut to mountain hut, to experience some of the most iconic mountains of the Fassa Dolomites on foot, walking at a gentle pace through forests, pastures and high-altitude panoramas.
