Ice skating in Alba di Canazei.
All you need is a pair of skates and the desire to have fun to enjoy the thrill of ice skating in Val di Fassa, in winter and summer alike. It is a perfect activity for friends, families with children or couples, even on rainy or snowy days.
At the "Gianmario Scola" indoor ice rink in Alba di Canazei, you will find an Olympic-size rink (30 x 60 metres) with artificial refrigeration, ideal for both beginners and more confident skaters. Spacious, smooth and bright, it invites you to glide across the ice, try a few turns and maybe even attempt your first pirouettes, all in a lively atmosphere with music playing in the background. The facility can accommodate up to 3,500 people and offers skate hire as well as lessons for those who want to learn the basics or improve their technique. Accompanying guests can watch from the stands or relax with a break at the ice rink bar.
The arena is also home to the Fassa Falcons, the local ice hockey team, and the Val di Fassa Artistico Ghiaccio association. Over the years, it has hosted major international events, including the Group B Ice Hockey World Championships in 1987 and 1994, as well as the matches and closing ceremony of the 26th Winter Universiade in 2013. The Fassa Ice Gala figure skating evenings, featuring internationally renowned skaters, have also left unforgettable memories.
