La Baita Canazei

The perfect break just a short walk from Canazei, with Sella and Pordoi in front of you in all their majesty.

On the meadows of Ciasates, right in front of the village of Canazei, La Baita is one of those places where time seems to slow down and the scent of wood mixes with the smiles of those who welcome you. You are in the right place if you want to take a break at any time of the day: reinforced breakfasts, fast lunches, tasty snacks or aperitifs with Trentodoc mountain bubbles, always with quality products and an excellent price-taste ratio.
The bar with a small kitchen can be easily reached on foot or, in fine seasons, by mountain bike, crossing the covered wooden bridge over the Avisio stream, next to the Canazei Marmolada Ski School. In winter, the meadows are transformed into an equipped school camp, and La Baita becomes the ideal place for parents and carers who want to relax while the children are engaged in the first steps. 

From the panoramic terrace a special view opens up, reserved for the lucky few: the Sella and the Pordoi stand out in front, and at sunset they turn red telling stories of climbing and silence. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and informal: only 25 seats, simple and essential wooden furniture, large bright windows, music, après-ski and hospitality that makes you feel at home even on holiday. The menu follows the seasons and the inspiration of the managers: dishes of the day, local specialties, gourmet sandwiches, homemade desserts (the famous Sacher!) and a wine list designed for a toast in the company of ski instructors, bike guides and many local fans.
