Troi means path in the Ladin language: mountain trails that start on the valley floor and follow traces of everyday mountain life, linking valleys and high passes. In the past, they were the routes of shepherds, traders and migrant workers - roads to leave and, above all, to find the way back home to Val di Fassa.
Today, many troi can be walked again thanks to dedicated mapping and clear signposts. In winter they turn into snow walks that bloom like petals around the villages: easy strolls in town, mid-slope walks through the woods, or snowshoe routes where the snow lies deeper and silence becomes listening.
Choose your troi and set off: Val di Fassa walks with you, step by step.
