La Bira te Fascia

Water, barley malt, yeast, hops. These are the ingredients that, skilfully worked, give one of the most appreciated alcoholic beverages: beer. And, among the most fashionable variants of the moment, there are the mountain beers to which the Val di Fassa dedicates "La Bira te Fascia". There are many novelties in the tenth edition, from 6 to 8 October, which will be held this time in the characteristic village of Canazei, where the "base camp" will be set up.

Three days of kermesse enriched by taste experiences that value the beauty of the Dolomites, its people and beer culture. A weekend of masterclasses, beer cooking contests, good music, children's workshops, but also of activities combining open-air sport and the discovery of the production sites of Fassa's gastronomic excellence. On the programme, at the opening of the festival, a moment dedicated to b2b, to bring together operators in the sector (restaurateurs, traders, hoteliers) and producers and create an opportunity for an in-depth look at craft beers.

The featured breweries at the festival are: 5+ Brewery of Mattarello (Trento), Birra di Fiemme Brewery of Masi di Cavalese (Trento), Rampeèr Brewery of Campitello di Fassa (Trento), Guggenbräu Brewery of San Genesio Atesino (Bolzano), L'Artigianale del Grillo Brewery of San Pietro di Cadore (Belluno).

Programme "La Bira te Fascia" on Friday 6 October:

  • from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gran Tobià Taverna Teater in Canazei, B2Beer. Activity reserved for sector operators. Entrance by invitation only
  • from 4 p.m., opening of the kitchen with typical à la carte menu
  • from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Gran Tobià Taverna Teater in Canazei, In Alto il Gusto! First edition of the exclusive beer cooking contest in collaboration with the Trentino chefs' association. Professional chefs and enthusiasts will compete at the cooker, in front of a selected jury, creating a dish in which beer can be either the main ingredient or a pairing
  • from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Gran Tobià Taverna Teater in Canazei, live music with the band "The Others"

Programme "La Bira te Fascia" Saturday 7 October:

  • 10.30 a.m., Bike & Taste Tour. Easy guided bike/e-bike tour along the Val di Fassa cycle path to get to the origin, where the craft beer is brewed. Guided visit to the "Rampeèr" brewery in Campitello. Descent towards Pozza and stop at the "Mèlga de Fascia" cheese factory and cheese aperitif in the vault. Return to Canazei and lunch in the theatre. Fee-paying activity (35 € for guided tour, aperitif, lunch with matching dish and beer). Booking required by 6 p.m. on the previous day by sending an email to labiratefascia@gmail.com (max. 20 people)
  • from 12 noon, opening of the kitchen with typical à la carte menu
  • from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Masterclass. Fun tasting course, guided by the "Unionbirrai" Beer Tasters, to learn about craft beer and how to combine it with the best food products of the Val di Fassa. In collaboration with Rastal, a brand par excellence in the world of beverages and professional tasting. Activity on payment (15 € for 4 beers and 4 tastings). Compulsory booking by 6 p.m. of the previous day by sending an email to labiratefascia@gmail.com (max 25 people)
  • from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Gran Tobià Taverna Teater in Canazei, live music with the band "Una Tantum"

Programme "La Bira te Fascia" on Sunday 8 October:

  • 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Masterclass. Fun tasting course, guided by the Unionbirrai Beer Tasters, to learn about craft beer and how to combine it with the best food products of the Val di Fassa. In collaboration with "Rastal", a brand par excellence in the world of beverages and professional tasting. Activity on payment (15 € for 4 beers and 4 tastings). Compulsory booking by 6 p.m. of the previous day by sending an email to labiratefascia@gmail.com (max 25 people)
  • from 12 noon, opening of the kitchen with typical à la carte menu
