In one of Italy's most beautiful villages, a small Christmas market where you can discover handmade items, enjoy a glass of mulled wine and make a little room for something special
Vigo's Christmas market lives up to its name: "Pìcol, bon e bel" - small, good and beautiful. The wooden stalls stretch from the little square opposite the tourist office to the terrace of "Ciasa Marmolada", in the centre of the village. Stop and have a browse. You'll find Christmas decorations made from natural materials, paintings, picture frames, fabrics, embroidery, homewares and other handcrafted creations. Then, inevitably, it's time to tuck in: tea and mulled wine to warm your hands, roasted chestnuts in a paper cone and the legendary apple fritters with cinnamon and icing sugar. If you're here with children, there's one more thing to do before you leave.
They can pop their letters to Santa into his postbox and, along the nativity scene trail, the Christmas Selfie Points are the perfect excuse for a photo together.
