For the Val di Fassa Panorama Music festival, concert by Loris Vescovo, Corrado Bungaro, and John Salis in the scenic basin of Fuciade
Loris Vescovo (Udine, 1971) is a Friulian singer-songwriter transplanted in Trentino. With the nostalgic eye of the 19th-century geographers, he explores places of sounds and words straddling tradition and betrayal, with a dry and unembellished writing style. His language is his suitcase: Friulian. His music is a compendium of colors borrowed from peoples of different latitudes during real or imagined travels. Since 2002, he has released five albums, singing alongside Antonella Ruggiero in the project "Cjantâ Vilotis" and winning the Tenco Award for the album "Penisolati" in 2014. Preparing for the next destination, he is designing new itineraries and presenting himself with an unprecedented trio, proposing newly composed songs interspersed with some traditional chants.
Corrado Bungaro (Trento, 1969) is a musician, videomaker, and artistic director. He performs with the violin and the keyed viola d'amore (nyckelharpa) in Italy and abroad, participating in various musical projects. He composes original music, interacting with the worlds of theater, video, and dance. In 2018, he writes and directs the film "N-Ice Cello - Storia del violoncello di ghiaccio," featuring the Sicilian cellist and composer Giovanni Sollima and American ice artist Tim Linhart. He currently directs the Didactic Center Musicateatrodanza in Rovereto (TN). For over twenty years, he has been involved in production in the artistic and cultural fields - music, theater, dance, and video - in relation to regional and extra-regional festivals and organizations.
John Prabhakar Salins (1965, Bangalore, India) develops musically by studying tabla and other percussion instruments of Indian classical music, actively participating in the musical circuit of the Indian metropolis. From 1989 to 1992, he moved to Saudi Arabia, in Al-Kobar, where he was active with the Indian Culture Group. In 1993, he moved to Italy, where he currently resides, continuing his musical experience in the field of world music with Madreselva, Miscele d’Aria, and OrcheXtra Terrestre, the latter being one of the most well-known multiethnic formations in Italy. He also collaborates with funky/fusion groups such as After the Moon and J.J. Band. He runs a permanent percussion workshop with the children of Raffaele Sanzio Primary School in Trento and has collaborated with various wellness centers in Trentino-Alto Adige, focusing on music for health and well-being and sound massage.
