Performance by the choir from Tesero, in Val di Fiemme, which was founded in 1950 on the initiative of nine friends who are passionate about mountain folk singing and is one of the longest-running ensembles in Trentino
Over the years, the Genzianella Male Choir of Tesero has taken part in numerous concerts, festivals and competitions outside the region and abroad, presenting a repertoire that celebrates local roots and identity, with songs inspired by the Great War and emigration in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys. Among its most significant experiences are performances in the "Nervi" Hall of the Vatican and in St. Peter's Square in Rome in 2007 and 2008, on the occasion of the exhibition of nativity scenes from Tesero. The choir's focus on Christmas repertoire has also taken it to Nuremberg, in the evocative setting of the famous Christmas markets. The choir, composed of about thirty members and conducted by Maestro Diego Cavada, continues to pursue its activities with enthusiasm, convinced of the cultural and social value of making music together: a gesture that unites, strengthens bonds and gives voice to a collective memory.
