Amid the rugged Costabella ridges, in a landscape shaped by the memory of the First World War, a singer-songwriter whose hallmark is boundless creativity performs in a place of rare evocative power
I Suoni delle Dolomiti are unique encounters between music, nature and silence. In a theatre without walls, where the landscape becomes the stage, artists and audiences share the walk and the listening experience. Harmonies intertwine with the breath of the mountains in an experience that exists only here and now.
I Suoni delle Dolomiti: Anna Castiglia. Rifugio Passo delle Selle (Passo San Pellegrino), Sunday 27 September at 12:00
Programme
Anna Castiglia, a Sicilian-born artist, studied and lived in Turin and is now based in Milan. She made her debut with the album Mi piace, a collection of twelve songs balancing samba, swing and rhythm and blues, with lyrics that move between intimacy and irony. The album won the prestigious Targa Tenco for Best Debut Album. After appearing on X Factor and opening for major Italian artists such as Max Gazzè and Carmen Consoli, she has established herself on the Italian singer-songwriter scene thanks to her powerful live performances. In Turin, she co-founded the collective Canta Fino a Dieci with Irene Buselli, Rossana De Pace, Valeria Rossi (aka Cheriach Re) and Francesca Siano (Francamente), promoting a message of sisterhood and cooperation among women in music.
