The Thumòs Quartet brings the expressive power of strings to the high mountains, amid silences that listen and landscapes that resonate: the Marmolada and the Dolomite peaks embrace the music in all its essence
I Suoni delle Dolomiti are unique encounters between music, nature and silence. In a theatre without walls, where the landscape becomes the stage, artists and audience share the journey and the act of listening. Harmonies intertwine with the breath of the mountains, in an experience that exists only here and now.

Programme
The Thumòs Quartet is composed of Simone Ceriani and Francesca Boscarato (violin), Sebastiano Favento (viola) and Alessandro Mauriello (cello): four young musicians who graduated from the conservatory in Milan and perfected their skills at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona. The group followed the prestigious Stauffer Artist programme, graduating in string quartet under the guidance of the Cremona Quartet and internationally renowned artists such as the Jerusalem Quartet, the Schumann Quartett, Ida Bieler, Eckart Runge, Miguel Da Silva, Mark Messenger and Nathan Braude. Thanks to the Stauffer Academy, the Thumòs Quartet took part in an exchange project with the Royal College of Music in London, which concluded with a concert in the evocative Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall. Among their most significant experiences is their participation as guests on the Italian RAI Radio3 programme "Voci in Barcaccia", where they talked about their journey through music, study and shared passion.
How to get to the Contrin Rifugio: from Alba di Canazei on foot along trail no. 602 (approx. 2 hours' walk, elevation gain approx. 500 m, difficulty level E).
Admission to the concert is free. We recommend arriving at least one hour before the concert begins and wearing clothing suitable for mountain hiking.
In case of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Marmolada Cinema Theatre in Canazei. Free tickets will be distributed at the theatre’s box office from 3:30 p.m., subject to availability.
