Parade of the Mattarello brass band along the central Strada Rezia and concert in the square in front of the tourist office
For the summer cycle of "Music and traditions", every Monday evening a local band or by another one coming from the nearest valleys will entertain the public with their repertoire. Enliven by the volunteering spirit that is characteristic of the Trentino South Tyrol, the brass band is an occasion to socialize between people of different ages, where everybody puts his own passion at the service of the community, transmitting the habits, the costumes and the history of the society. The evening, starting at 9 p.m., includes a parade along the main street of Vigo (Strada Rezia) and concert in the square in front of the tourist office.
Since 1898, the Mattarello music band has been passionately accompanying the life of its community in this hamlet south of Trento, intertwining music and tradition in every event, large or small. Over a century of history made up of concerts, shared emotions and commitment to training new generations. Alongside the main band, a lively youth band is growing, thanks to collaboration with the "I Minipolifonici" music school in Trento. Conducted by bandmaster Gianni Muraro, the Mattarello music band brings harmony between past and future to the stage, in the name of music and community spirit.
In case of rain, the parade will be cancelled and only the concert will take place at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
