Parade of the music band of Predazzo along the central Strada Rezia and concert in the square in front of the tourist office
For the summer cycle of "Music and traditions", a local band or by another one coming from the nearest valleys will entertain the public with their repertoire. Enliven by the volunteering spirit that is characteristic of the Trentino South Tyrol, the brass band is an occasion to socialize between people of different ages, where everybody puts his own passion at the service of the community, transmitting the habits, the costumes and the history of the society. The evening, starting at 9 p.m., includes a parade of the "E. Bernardi" civic band of Predazzo along the main street of Vigo (Strada Rezia) and concert in the square in front of the tourist office.
With a history dating back to 1847, the civic band of Predazzo is today a living symbol of community, tradition and renewal. From its repertoire of marches and opera pieces to contemporary compositions, the band has accompanied generations of Predazzani, combining music and local identity. Under the direction of bandmaster Fiorenzo Brigadoi, assisted by his son Ivo, it has trained dozens of young musicians and created a youth band, lowering the average age of the band members to 22. Its 160 years of activity celebrate a continuous dialogue between past and future, between shared stories and new harmonies.
In case of rain, the parade will be cancelled and only the concert will take place at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
