Parade of the music band of Pozza along the central Strada Rezia and concert in the square in front of the tourist office
For the summer cycle of "Music and traditions", a local band or by another one coming from the nearest valleys will entertain the public with their repertoire. Enliven by the volunteering spirit that is characteristic of the Trentino South Tyrol, the brass band is an occasion to socialize between people of different ages, where everybody puts his own passion at the service of the community, transmitting the habits, the costumes and the history of the society. The evening, starting at 9 p.m., includes a parade of the music band of Moena along the main street of Vigo (Strada Rezia) and concert in the square in front of the tourist office.
Val di Fassa, 1933. Music was not a luxury. It was a necessity. A bond. An act of pride. Eight young men from Pozza, without uniforms or new instruments, decided it was time to give their village a voice. They broke away from the Vigo band and created their own music: the "Musega de Poza". Then he arrived. A young man with eyes full of notes: Paolo Cincelli. He wrote the scores by hand, made the reeds from ski sticks and waited for the compositions to arrive in the post. He did all this for one reason: he believed. And that music, made of hard work, playfulness and heart, became the voice of a community. From processions to village festivals. Then came the first trips away, the first applause from afar. But the deepest breath... has always remained here. As in 2003. And again in 2023. Ninety years later, with their instruments on their shoulders, the band climbed the Vaiolet Towers. To play at 2,800 metres, where the sky seems to listen. A piece of music was written to recount that feat. Written by Marco Somadossi, between rock and short breaths, dreams and resistance. It is called "Crepe de Lum". It is also a short film, presented at the Trento Film Festival. A true story. Of roots, of passion. Of people who don't play just to be heard... but to feel together. Today, the "Musega de Poza", conducted by bandmaster Giancarlo Dorich, has almost seventy members, including musicians, flag bearers and vivandiere. The current uniform is based on Ladin tradition and the garments worn in the past, testifying that the culture of the valley is still alive. And a source of pride.
In case of rain, the parade will be cancelled and only the concert will take place at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
