September 20, 2025 from 09:30
Trekking and yoga: two activities that become even more exciting in Val di Fassa, especially when practised with a group of friends like @donnedimontagna.
On the 20th and 21st of September, join other enthusiasts of peaks and panoramas to reach the Vallaccia Refuge (2,275 m) along a trail that starts in Pozza and enters the heart of the wild Val Monzoni. The walk, accompanied by a mountain guide, is enriched with simple breathing and awareness exercises, ending with yoga practices (also suitable for beginners) led by a qualified instructor once you reach the refuge.
Program
Friday, September 20th
- 9:30 a.m. – meet at Pozza, in the car park in Vidor, where you will meet the mountain guide, the ApT representatives and @donnedimontagna founded by Marzia Bortolameotti. Here you will be given the cheesnic, a picnic with local specialities to be eaten at lunchtime. When the group is complete, you will set off on the excursion
- 10:15 a.m. approx. – start the climb to Malga Crocifisso, where you will continue towards Val Monzoni along trail no. 603. There will be several stops along the way: the guide will describe the environment and tell you about the special features of the area, while the yoga expert will help you get in touch with nature with some breathing exercises
- 12:30 p.m. approx. – in the vicinity of Malga Monzoni, immersed in an enchanting landscape, it is time for a longer stop: first, take part in a short guided meditation in the greenery and, immediately afterwards, enjoy a picnic with many local delicacies that will replenish your energy
- 2:00 p.m. approx. – rejoin the group and continue along the route, which mostly winds through the woods on a steady climb until you reach the junction with trail no. 624, which leads to the Rifugio Vallaccia mountain hut at the foot of Sas da le Undesc
- 4:00 p.m. – upon arrival at the hut, you are welcomed by the Bernard family, owners of this alpine outpost for many years
- 5:30 p.m. – after settling into the shared rooms and enjoying a bit of relaxation, take part in the regenerating yoga class: mindful breathing and relaxation to ease both body and mind
- 6:30 p.m. – enjoy an aperitif featuring foods from Val di Fassa and Trentino wines while your gaze wanders from the Creste di Costabella to the Gran Vernel and the southern face of the Marmolada
- 7:30 p.m. – it is time for conviviality and sharing the day’s emotions with the group while savoring traditional Ladin dishes
- 10:00 p.m. – time to rest at last: good night in the mountain hut
Saturday, September 21st
- 6:00 a.m. – wake up with the first light and be guided through a yoga practice to start the day in harmony with the mountain environment
- 7:30 a.m. – breakfast at Rifugio Vallaccia with a view of the Dolomites
