At Belvedere, a small detour is all it takes to give the descent a different twist: the Ski FunArena Canazei opens up in front of the Sassolungo. The Funslope combines turns, bumps, small obstacles and sound installations, while the Funcross strings together waves and banked turns to be tackled one after another. A dedicated area, two runs and no need to be an experienced freestyler.

Ski FunaArena Canazei
From Col dei Rossi, simply start your descent and within a few minutes the entrance to the Ski FunArena Canazei comes into view. That is precisely its strength: the FunArena fits seamlessly into a normal day at Belvedere. You can simply drop in, try a run, perhaps go again straight away by taking the chairlift, or switch slopes and sides, without turning the whole experience into a snowpark challenge.
The area is divided into two sections, with two separate runs. The Funslope adds a little spice to the descent: turns, bumps and small obstacles punctuate the run, while interactive features provide a few surprises along the way, from the musical platform to the spiral tunnel. It is designed for anyone who wants to try something different without taking on more demanding freestyle features. Children are often the most daring.
Next to it, the Funcross has a more dynamic character: waves and banked turns follow one another, while the crossline encourages riders to experiment with different lines, balance and speeds each time. There is no need to be an expert. The fun lies in finding your own flow, getting to grips with the sequence and perhaps riding it again, this time in a different way.
And then? The fun does not stop there. Heading towards Col Rodella, with Belvedere in view, there is another Funcross, complete with start gates, rollers and banked turns. Next to it is a self-timer course: the seconds ticking away, gates to weave through and an atmosphere that feels a little like race day. All that is missing is the crowd cheering at the finish line.
Snowpark rules
- The use of a homologated helmet is compulsory and the utilization of other protection equipment is recommended (e.g. back protector, etc.).
- In the snowpark jumps, slope gradient variations and artificial structures are installed; they vary in difficulty and change constantly depending on snow-conditions, wear, shape and time.
- Make a precautionary check to measure the degree of difficulty and the risks linked to the track you choose.
- Avoid using the facilities if you lack the necessary skill and experience to use them safely.
- Check carefully that the landing area is clear before jumping.
- Read and follow the rules of conduct for skiers and snowboarders (art. no. 30-ter in the Regulation for the implementation of the Provincial Law no. 7/87).
