For the traditional summer music festival, the male even-voice choir from Moena performs a touching concert of classic mountain and popular songs, some also in Ladin language
Traditional mountain songs inspired by the grandiose Alpine landscapes, glaciers, forests and legends of the Dolomites. Every Thursday evening, we will be able to listen to pieces skilfully performed by local choral groups, who will entertain us in an exciting concert, sure to be appreciated by valley dwellers and tourists alike. At 9.15 pm, the Enrosadira Choir will perform in the square in front of the tourist office.
Founded in 1981 and directed by choir master Barbara Pedrotti, the Enrosadira Choir of Moena owes its name to a phenomenon in the Alps: the alpenglow ("Enrosadira"), when at dawn and dusk the peaks, illuminated by the sun's rays, are tinged with a thousand shades of red and pink, offering a breathtaking spectacle every time.
The male voice choir from Moena boasts memorable international tours, with performances in Chicago, Toronto, New York, the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro. Trips to Sicily, Spain and Sardinia have also provided important opportunities for cultural exchange, particularly with the Arbëreshë (Albanian) communities of Sicily and Catalonia. In 2006, the choir was a guest of the then President of the Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, a recognition that marked a prestigious milestone in its history. These experiences gave rise to the album "...color d'Enrosadira", which brings together traditional Trentino songs, mountain songs and folk songs in Ladin, Friulian and even African languages, all specially arranged for the choir.
Free admission. In case of bad weather at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
