The Carezza ski area offers snow and endless panoramic views that reveal the beauty of the Dolomites, from dawn to dusk. At the foot of the Latemar and Catinaccio, in the legendary kingdom of King Laurin, every turn is pure spectacle. Spacious, sunny slopes welcome beginners, experts, snowboarders and families, with modern lifts and state-of-the-art facilities. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging - here, every passion finds its trail. And those who stay overnight at Costalunga Pass begin their day already in paradise.

Carezza Ski: the ski area of legends

Reaching Carezza is already a journey through history. The Great Dolomites Road (Grande Strada delle Dolomiti), built in 1909 to connect Bolzano with Cortina d'Ampezzo, crosses the Costalunga Pass - the gateway to one of the most scenic and evocative ski areas in the Dolomites. Carezza is a tapestry of experiences, where skiing meets the legend of King Laurin. Sunlit runs weave through forests and clearings, perfect both for technical skiers and those taking their very first steps on the snow. With every turn, the peaks of Catinaccio and Latemar rise alongside, glowing at sunrise and sunset in the fiery light of the "Enrosadira" (Ladin word for Alpine glow).
But Carezza is not only about alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle. The snow here can be lived in countless ways: snowshoeing, sledging, cross-country trails, children’s play parks. And for those who simply wish to contemplate, Lake Carezza reflects postcard-perfect views.
Here, days unfold at their own pace: a ride down "Pra di Tori", stage of the Snowboard World Cup; a stop in a mountain hut to savour authentic alpine flavours; then back to the slopes or a quiet walk to a traditional farmstead. In Carezza, everything blends together: athletes and families, beginners and experts, adrenaline seekers and peace lovers.
Although independent, Carezza is well connected by ski bus to Vigo and Pozza di Fassa, Obereggen and even the Alpe di Siusi, opening up horizons towards the neighbouring valleys.
